We started our day by learning about antonyms. Lets brainstorm what antonyms are:



Ask me what we started doing in math. We are learning about shapes and translations. 

This afternoon we were working on a very special project. You'll have to wait to see what it is!

  Play/Sports Day Information   On Friday, June 23, outdoor and indoor Play / Sports Day activities for Grades 1-5 are planned.  (There is no school for Kindergarten on Friday but Kindergarten will participate in Play/Sports Day activities with a Freezie on Thursday, June 22.)    In line with the 2023 Calgary Stampede's theme, 'We're Greatest Together", activities will be planned to encourage the spirit of cooperation and collaboration. We got to shop in our classroom library today and take home a few books from the classroom to keep.  We are going on a community walk tomorrow. Please wear appropriate shoes. Thursday is PJ day and board game day. You may bring one board game you enjoy playing at home!

 Tomorrow we are going for a community walk so please dress accordingly! This morning we started our day reviewing suffixes. We know that suffixes get added to the end of a root word. Suffixes we use in grade 2 are: -er, est, -ing, -ed. Let's brainstorm words we can add suffixes to and what does that word change to? In math we continued measuring different things around the classroom with blocks (non- standard measurement) and in cm (standard units of measurement).
