Happy Imagination Day! Our day was full of creativity! This morning we read the story If Kids Ruled The World. We then created what our world would look like and will be doing some writing to describe what our world would be like. Ask me what I made my world like! During math we continued to let our imagination run wild and planned our dream vacation. We had to use our knowledge of calendars, weeks and days to help us plan our trip!  This afternoon we read the book Beautiful Oops and did some art inspired by the book. Ask me what mistake I had to work with!

Please bring back school library books! Thursday is Imagination Day and Edo lunch for those who ordered it. Next week is spring break so there is no school.  We started our day by talking about the the grapheme ow. We know it can sound like ow or long o in words. For example cow or row. We can brainstorm words to go in each category.  During math we continued working on addition and subtraction strategies and solving for missing addends. We can practice our strategies at home: Try these 24+__= 62 and 36+___= 93.

We can practice together at home. In social we are still learning about the Inuit People. Ask me what we have learned so far. Today is the Spring Equinox. We had a class discussion about our bodies and the land at this time in the year.                                  Information about Imagination Day: SEVEN IMAGINATION ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS (FROM ‘I SEE ME’)  On Thursday, March 23, our Spirit Day at Northern Lights School will be Imagination Day!
