We will be outside all week for recess and doing field studies on Friday so please dress appropriately and pack an extra pair of pants and socks, just incase.  This morning we listened to a poem one verse at a time. After each verse we visualized what our neighbors purple dog looks like.  During math we logged onto the computers and practiced playing math games to find the perfect level for ourselves. We are excited to start using computers as a Math Workshop activity! We continued our adventure in Iqaluit this afternoon. Ask me what we have seen so far!

Ask me which ones I did. In Math we did an Esti- Mystery and then continued practicing subtraction.  For social we did a choose your own adventure to get to Iqaluit. Ask me about what we've done so far.  Today we played the Djembe drums during music. We played the game Pass The Beat Around The Room. Ask me what that is.  We ended the day with gym and read The Story Of Ruby Bridges. We think she is a very brave girl. Ask me about the story!

 We started our day reading a book called Let's Talk About Race.  We then did some writing about how we felt when we did the Crumple People activity yesterday and made connections to the book we read. If you didn't talk about it yesterday, you could have a conversation about what it means to not be a Crumple Person and what the reason for the activity was.  After gym we did some science to learn about water tension. Our science turned into art work! Ask me what water tension is!

 We started our day learning our new word sorts, in our Words Their Way groups. Ask me about the word sort I am working on now.  We did a Crumple People activity to recognize the impact hurtful words have on others. Ask me about this activity.
